Sensor Tower's latest data provides insight into the performance of Brazil's leading Consumer Finance applications on a unified platform in the second quarter of 2024. Here's how the top five apps fared during this period.
Nubank: Conta, Cartão e mais saw a fluctuating download trend starting with 875K in the first week of April and peaking at over 1M by the end of the month. Weekly active users began at 53M and reached a high of 56M in the first week of May, although there was a slight decline to 53M by the end of June.
For PicPay: Conta, Cartão e Pix, downloads hovered around 392K to 449K throughout the quarter, while active users remained fairly stable, starting at 13M and peaking at 13.6M in early June.
Mercado Pago: cuenta digital maintained a steady increase in downloads from 301K in the first week of April to 372K in early June, before a slight drop to 322K by the quarter's end. Weekly active users showed an upward trend from 11M to nearly 11.5M in the first week of June.
CAIXA experienced a gradual reduction in downloads from 335K to 242K, with weekly active users starting at 12.5M, dipping mid-quarter, and then slightly recovering to 11.6M by June 24th.
Lastly, Banco Santander Brasil saw downloads ranging between 247K and 280K, with a noticeable drop to 205K by the end of June. Active users showed resilience, starting at 12.4M and mostly maintaining above 12M throughout the quarter.
